In separate venues and dates in October 2026, two ecclesiastical districts in Metro Manila, Philippines, Church officers each convened a special gathering during which they reaffirmed their commitment to duty and newly appointed ones took their oath of office.

Metro Manila South

Church officers from the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila South gathered at the Olivarez Coliseum in Parañaque City on October 27, 2026.

Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, Church’s General Secretary, officiated at their special gathering.

Citing biblical verses, Brother Panoncillo underscored the importance of leading with compassion, empathy, and genuine concern for the brethren to help them strengthen their faith and thus remain steadfast in their service to God.

Following the study of God’s words, Brother Jerson Crisostomo, district Church officers overseer, administered the oath-taking of 1,056 new Church officers.

“By God’s mercy, more than a thousand brethren heeded the Church Administration’s call to accept a duty in the Church,” remarked Brother Crisostomo in an interview. “The special gathering was held in response to this call, which emphasizes the need to uphold our Lord God’s teaching to care for and strengthen the faith of the brethren, especially now that our salvation is near.”

Central

A week earlier, the Ecclesiastical District of Central brought together all the Church officers under its supervision at the house of worship of the Luzon Avenue Congregation.

The special gathering was led by Brother Diosdado F. Dades, district supervising minister, who delivered a biblical lesson after the opening prayer led by Brother Dennis Brojas, district edification overseer.

During the study of God’s words, Brother Dades reminded the Church officers of the great value of remaining steadfast in their faith and fulfilling their respective duties faithfully especially amid the challenges they encounter.

Afterwards, Brother Ruel Cervantes, assistant district supervising minister, led the prayer. Then, Brother Gerald Ventura, district Church officers overseer, administered the oath-taking of 767 additional officers.

“Such gatherings reinforce the importance of working together in carrying out the Church’s activities and programs under the leadership of the Church Administration,” said Brother Ventura. “The occasions also served to inspire newly appointed officers as they formally vowed to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with God’s teachings.” — With reports from Reynaldo Libao III
