A total of 500 seedlings were planted during the Ecclesiastical District of Trece Martires City, Cavite’s tree planting activity held on September 19, 2026.

Participating brethren from various local congregations in the district join hands in sowing 350 narra and 150 guyabano saplings at the Eco Farm in Malainen, Naic Cavite.

Brother Rodrigo A. Reyes, district supervising minister, led the environmental conservation activity, which he said “was aimed at obeying God’s will of protecting the nature and thus unite with such and other activities spearheaded by the Executive Minister himself.”

“Tree planting can greatly help in avoiding and addressing soil erosion, landslide, especially flooding during severe calamities,” Brother Reyes added.

Before the activity, groundwork was laid out by Society of Communicators and Networkers, International (SCAN).

Robert Bencito, a SCAN officer from the Malainen Congregation, explained, “Operational preparations involved clearing and cleaning the designated planting sites and handling the seedlings which were sponsored by the Buklod organization.”

“I felt great excitement and joy,” shared Genevive Aguilar, a Buklod member from the Tanza Congregation. “Most of all, I’m proud that our district is united in working toward a sustainable environment that will benefit the next generation.”

Brother Benjamin Buena, district CFO overseer, remarked, “This is important because it helps clean and preserve the ecosystem. It also showed the joy and excitement of the brethren who participated in the activities launched by the Church Administration,” Buena stated.

“The tree-planting activity in the district remains a continuous commitment. I’m sure that the brethren will monitor the Eco Farm site to ensure high survival rate of the newly planted seedlings for environmental preservation,” concurred district Buklod president, Rodel Olega.
