The Ecclesiastical District of Southern Africa received food parcels through the Aid to Humanity project on April 1 to 3, 2020.
Observing the safety protocols implemented in the national lockdown, Brother Sheridohn Santos, district supervising minister, led the giving of food parcels to brethren. Frontliners, such as the police officers, were also given help in appreciation of their services.
South Afrcia alone has over 1,500 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The number of cases in neighboring countries, such as Swaziland and Lesotho, has also increased. The lockdown made it difficult for the impoverished citizens to meet their basic needs so such help is truly needed.
The recipients were thankful to the Church Of Christ for the aid they received. — With reports from INC News Section
