After some time off from school, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) student-members from the Philippine province of Aklan received valuable help in re-setting their focus on their studies in the upcoming academic year in the country.

They gained biblical insights about the benefits of properly preparing for the future by learning the relevant knowledge and wisdom.

This was by attending either of two special gatherings held at separate venues that their organization, the Christian Brotherhood International (CBI), convoked on June 23, 2024 under the guidance and supervision of the Aklan Ecclesiastical District.

“These special gatherings of Iglesia Ni Cristo students are conducted to continuously guide and remind them to be wise in their studies, especially now that the world is filled with troubles,” the district supervising minister, Brother Eduardo Donato explained. “These will also help them in their way of life towards achieving God’s promise of salvation.”

Brother Donato officiated at the sacred occasion held in the Kalibo Congregation’s house of worship, while Brother Marlon Pineda, assistant district supervising minister, presided over the one in the Caticlan Congregation.

In their Bible-based homily, both ministers encouraged the CBI members to give utmost importance to academic learning beneficial to pursuing their chosen careers. They cautioned the Christian youth, however, to not lose sight of the most significant knowledge of all—the words of God, which they ought to obey for them to be blessed with the bright future they aspire for.

“The teaching that has deeply ingrained in my heart and mind is to be wise in living, learning, and decision-making,” said Jeonne Barry Damole from Kalibo. “I promise to bring joy to my parents and above all, to the Lord God.” — With reports from Romeo Arellano III of INC News Section
