Brethren from Greenhills Group Worship Service (GWS), Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu in the Philippines held their inaugural worship service in their new barangay chapel on January 16, 2021.

Brother Sergio S. Vista, district supervising minister, led the preaching of God’s words at the new place of worship in Barangay Greenhills, Municipality of San Fernando, Cebu Province.

“Our Lord God heard the prayers of the brethren here. They hoped for a place where they can more accessibly hold worship gatherings and their prayer was granted,” said Brother Edgardo Murillo, resident minister.

The new GWS is part of the Local Congregation of Sangat. Brethren in Barangay Greenhills can now attend congregational worship services in a place nearer to their homes for them to be more safe from the ongoing pandemic.

Congregants followed the health and safety protocols as they attended the sacred occasion.

Expressing the shared feeling of the brethren in Carcar City, Cebu District, Brother Vista said, “We are thankful to God for blessing the brethren in Greenhills with a suitable chapel. We promise to unite in all the works of the Church led by our beloved Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo.” – With reports from INC News Section
